As a highly skilled team leader who consults on the toughest underground engineering challenges, Marya provides geotechnical engineering and environmental services on commercial development, higher education, and infrastructure projects. She began her career at Haley & Aldrich as a field engineer and now applies her many years of consulting experience to lead teams and meet client needs. She guides clients from due diligence and conceptual design through construction, particularly on deep foundations and excavations in dense urban areas. Marya served as the Principal on the Lyrik – Air Rights Parcel 12 project working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary project team, Construction Manager, and specialty Foundation Contractors, to address the numerous site design and construction challenges related to subsurface conditions and site constraints. The project constructed over and adjacent to the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate I-90) and MBTA rail line in the Back Bay, required an innovative hybrid deep foundation system, to extending to bedrock at depths of over 150 ft. for foundation support. Marya is also an active member of the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, CREW Boston, and the Deep Foundation Institute. She speaks frequently on underground engineering and foundation construction topics sharing her passion for innovative and complex projects in the built environment.
