Terry Rookard, RA, NCARB
Senior Vice President and Principal Architect | AECOM
Terry Rookard has over 30 years of experience in the planning, design and management of aviation and transit projects. He is a Principal Architect and Senior Vice President at AECOM with extensive project design experience with a wide range of scale. During his thirty-five-year career at AECOM, he has led the efforts for new airport passenger terminals, terminal expansions and terminal renovations.
Most recently, Terry has been responsible for the design and management of several noteworthy terminal design projects, including Terminal E and Terminal B at Boston’s Logan Airport. Other airports Terry has worked at include Bradley Airport in Connecticut, Tampa, Atlantic City, Buffalo, Fort Lauderdale, San Juan, Philadelphia, Baltimore, JFK and LaGuardia.
In addition to terminals, Terry has also led the design for airport support facilities including maintenance buildings, cargo facilities and Airport Fire Fighting Facilities. Other transportation facilities that Terry has worked on include transit stations, intermodal centers, parking garages, bus maintenance facilities and bus stations.
Terry is NCARB Certified and is a licensed architect in sixteen states. He studied architecture at the Boston Architectural College and the Ohio State University and earned a BS and MArch.
