Steve Dumez, FAIA is Principal and Director of Design of EskewDumezRipple, a 60-person architectural practice with offices in New Orleans and Washington, DC. Working across a wide range of project types, including civic, cultural, educational and housing, the practice has focused on creating projects of lasting cultural, environmental and social value through a deep commitment to community. Under his design leadership, the firm’s work has received over 80 national awards for design excellence and has been published widely both nationally and internationally. In recognition of the firm’s significant contributions to the profession, EskewDumezRipple was recognized with the 2014 Architecture Firm Award, the highest honor bestowed on a practice by the American Institute of Architects.
Steve is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and the recipient of the AIA Louisiana Medal of Honor. Steve received a Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University, and a Masters of Architecture from Yale University.
