Becky Yurek serves as Chief Strategy Officer at the NYC Department of Design and Construction (DDC), where she leads strategic initiatives to transform how public works are delivered in service of a resilient, dynamic, and inclusive New York City. She partners with public and industry leaders to reform the capital delivery process, enabling communities to receive high-quality public buildings and infrastructure better, faster, and more cost-effectively.
With two decades of experience in the public and private sectors, Becky has played a key role in shaping public spaces citywide. Previously, she served as DDC’s liaison to the Public Design Commission, aligning public projects with citywide design and sustainability goals. An alumnus of the AIANY Civic Leadership Program and Coro Leadership New York, she is deeply committed to civic engagement and advancing excellence in the public realm.
