James is a Senior Associate at Perkins Eastman with 20 years of experience in designing, documenting, and constructing complex building projects. His projects span net-zero-designed schools, historic renovations, and specialized learning environments in the public and private sectors. He is a go-to resource in specialized spaces such as maker spaces, performing and physical art studios, STEM labs, theater stages and black boxes, and fabrication labs. James is an expert in technical matters, giving him the unique ability to manage, coordinate, and visualize design and building systems information. He is also experienced in designing for renovation, phased, and occupied-phased construction, helping clients manage how their buildings can function while the new construction and renovation work is happening simultaneously. Notable projects include Boston Arts Academy, Lowell High School, Concord-Carlisle Regional High School, and most recently, the Charleswood Elementary School in Hopkinton. A graduate of the Roger Williams University School of Architecture and continues to support their program.
