Vickie Alani is a Senior Principal at CBT with more than 35 years of experience in architecture and interior design for projects nationally and internationally. A trained architect and highly accomplished designer of multi-family residential and hospitality projects, Vickie approaches her work with the fluidity and interconnectivity with which people live today. Regarded for her forward-thinking approach and lifestyle expertise, Vickie is a frequent contributor to the larger discourse on rapidly changing housing trends. Augmenting Vickie’s work is her passion for mentorship and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Vickie has led the design of multiple award-winning interiors projects, including the repositioning of 601 Congress into the Seaport Science Center (Gold Award—Renovation, Muse Design Awards); the new Park 151 at Cambridge Crossing (Gold Award—Living Spaces, Muse Design Awards; Best in Residential Multi-Unit Design, IIDA New England); The Newbury hotel (Times Travel’s #1 Best Hotel in Boston; 2022 World’s Best Award, 15 Best Continental US City Hotels, Travel + Leisure); and the Central Armature Works in Washington, DC (Platinum Award—Living Spaces, Muse Design Awards; Best Amenity Space, NAIOP DC|MD Chapter). Most recently, she completed the design of interiors for Idyl, a transformative new multi-residential apartment complex that recently opened in the Fenway neighborhood.
A member of multiple professional and community organizations, Vickie is a strong advocate for design excellence. She is a member of the Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Network Advising Board and on the Board of Directors for Artists for Humanity. In addition, Vickie participates in ULI Boston/New England’s Women’s Leadership Initiative Council, Management Council, and Advisory Board, and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and Boston Society for Architecture. She received her Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design.
