Samuel Lasky

Principal

William Rawn Associates Architects, Inc.

Since joining William Rawn Associates over 27 years ago, Samuel Lasky has focused on complex institutional projects. His contribution to the public realm can be seen in projects across a remarkable variety of building types - projects that have received over 75 awards, including 14 national-level AIA awards. Samuel believes passionately in immersing himself in the history, culture, and ethos of a place or an institution, and his practice is centered on community engagement and active listening. It is from this immersion that he has found opportunities for innovation across civic, cultural, arts and educational projects. Samuel’s commitment to this work is matched by a commitment to sharing these insights and his immersive approach with others through speaking, mentorship, and teaching, including visiting professorships at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. Samuel was the recipient of the AIA Young Architects Award in 2008 and was elevated to Fellowship in the AIA in 2019. Samuel received a B.A.  from Yale University and his M.Arch from Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
